Meta Restructures AI Division Amid Industry-Wide Talent Crunch

Meta has launched its fourth artificial intelligence reorganization in six months, establishing a new Superintelligence Labs unit. The division will house four specialized teams: an experimental TBD Lab, product development for Meta's AI assistant, infrastructure support, and the existing Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team.

The MOVE comes as Silicon Valley faces intensifying competition for AI talent. Meta recently lost key researchers to rivals while grappling with the underwhelming April launch of its Llama 4 model.
